"I’m thoroughly enjoying your recordings! At the end of a work day, I lock myself away, light a candle, put on some spa music and hit the play button for my yoga practice led by you. I’m in heaven for 45 minutes!!" - Cathy K. (March 2025)
"I spent the fall of 2023 in physiotherapy after breaking an elbow and hip. Although I was making progress in physiotherapy, it was concentrating on the injuries and other parts of my body were under strain from compensating for my decreased range of motion and pain. I started Chair Yoga with Helen Fong in early winter 2024 and I can only wish it had been available earlier. The gentle movements of my body while seated relieved some of the strains and stresses in other parts of my body. Helen was aware of my limitations and made adjustments. She suggested a differing range of motions stressing only to go on to the next one if you were feeling comfortable. There were movements of my injured limbs, but they were slower and gentle and far more pleasant than physio but helped support regaining strength and movement. Some movements were off the chair, but it was there as a support and were at a speed that I could cope and didn't put additional stresses on my injured parts.
I would have no hesitation is recommending Helen's classes on chair yoga to someone recovering from injuries or someone who has limited movement, or flexibility or joint issues." -Shirley H. (April 2024)
Yoga unites the mind, body, and soul in a way that eases tension and promotes health. Regular practice improves breathing, increases endurance for other activities, and promotes mindfulness. Take a break from your day. Focus yourself and find clarity.
