Transform Your Life with Helen Fong Yoga Yoga Studio

Chair Yoga

A form of hatha yoga adapted to be performed using a chair as a prop. It allows practitioners to perform yoga poses either while seated or using the chair for support during standing poses. This modification makes yoga accessible to individuals who may have limited mobility, are recovering from injury, or find standard yoga poses challenging. Chair yoga incorporates breathwork, physical postures, and mindfulness, but eliminates the need to get up and down from the floor, making it safer and more comfortable for many people.

Hatha Yin

Good for Beginners to Advanced yoga students. Hatha Yin blends Hatha Vinyasa and Yin yoga styles. Hatha Vinyasa links movement and breath to achieve balance in the mind and body in a flowing sequence (i.e. sun salutations, moon salutations). Yin Yoga is passively held poses targeting fascia and other connective tissues of the body.

Lunchtime Yoga (Hatha Vinyasa)

45 minutes of yoga poses linking with foundation, breath and movement. This class strengthens the muscles, breath capacity and improves balance and flexibility.

Yin Yoga

The main purpose of a yin class is to hold long passive stretches for between 2 to 6 minutes (focus on fascia, muscles, connective tissues and acupressure points). A meditative practice that promotes flexibility.

Yoga Nidra

Restorative yoga poses to prepare the body for a guided Devine Sleep Yoga Nidra (equivalent to 2-3 hours of deep rest). You will need a yoga mat, 2 blankets, 2 blocks and 2 bolsters or large pillows.
